Dear Families,
We are excited to invite you to a special event, Project iGuardian™, presented by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the primary investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This important presentation will take place on November 13th, from 7:00 - 8:30 PM, and is designed to inform parents and guardians about the online risks children face today. This event is for adults only.
Project iGuardian will cover critical topics, including:
- Tactics used by adult predators online
- The growing crime of sextortion
- What information your devices may be giving away
- The latest apps, games, and social networks children are using
The presentation will also feature real-world scenarios based on local investigations, helping families better understand how children can be victimized online.
We ask that families register in advance to help us plan accordingly. Again, this evening is for adults only. There will also be a student-focused version of this presentation for Jr./Sr. High students on November 14th. The student presentations will be modified considering the age of the audience. Click here to register for this event.
We hope you can join us for this essential discussion to help keep our children safe in the digital world.
Thank you for your support
