Exciting Opportunity for Dual Enrollment Scholarships
We are thrilled to share some great news with our Windber families! The Somerset County Commissioners are once again providing grant funds to Pennsylvania Highlands Community College (PHCC) to support our ACE (dual enrollment) students. This scholarship opportunity allows our students to earn college credits while still in high school, setting them on a path toward higher education and future success.
Eligibility and Scholarship Parameters:
- Residency: Students must reside in Somerset County.
- Course Enrollment: Only courses taken through Pennsylvania Highlands Community College are eligible.
- Terms: Scholarships apply to courses taken in the Fall, Spring, and for the full academic year.
- District Selection: Our district will be awarded 130 credits as scholarships, and we will carefully select the students who will receive these scholarships.
This is a wonderful chance for students to get a head start on their college education while easing the financial burden on families. We encourage you to talk with your children about this opportunity and explore how it can benefit their educational journey.
If you have any questions or need more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Moore or Mrs. Birkhimer. They are available to help guide you through the process and ensure your student takes full advantage of this incredible opportunity.
Let’s work together to help our students reach new heights!
