We are thrilled to announce that Windber Area School District has expanded our dual enrollment offerings through an exciting partnership with St. Francis University! This opportunity allows our students to earn college credits while still in high school, providing them with a head start on their post-secondary education.
As part of this new collaboration, we have added three advanced courses to our dual enrollment program:
- Honors English 10
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Honors Algebra 11
These courses are designed to challenge our students academically and prepare them for college-level coursework. Not only will students gain valuable knowledge and skills, but they will also have the chance to earn college credits that can be transferred to many universities across the country.
What does this mean for our families?
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to reduce the time and cost associated with earning a college degree. We encourage all families to discuss these new course offerings with their children and consider enrolling in one or more of these classes. Taking advantage of these courses can set students on a successful path toward their future academic and career goals.
To explore this opportunity further, please have a conversation with your child and reach out to their school counselor as soon as possible. Our counselors are here to help guide students through the dual enrollment process and ensure they are making the best choices for their academic journey.
Don't miss out on this incredible chance to enhance your child's education! Contact your school counselor today to learn more about enrolling in these courses through our partnership with St. Francis University.
