Title II

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, Title II referred to as Dwight D. Eisenhower funds, supports staff development in mathematics and science. Each year a committee comprised of teachers and administrators outlines professional development initiatives that will support the mission of the district. These initiatives are addressed through training provided during in-service days throughout the school year and in the summer, as well as through building level workshops or seminars.

Title II (DDE) funds have supported staff development activities that are consistent with the district’s implementation of a standards-based curriculum, inquiry-based science and mathematics instruction and technology integration. The funds are also used to provide additional learning experiences for staff members at national and/or state professional conferences.
